This collection is inspired by the Obi, a ribbon like accessory in Japanese traditional outfits. The seat is conformed of a rounded upholstered frame with soft edges that rest in a wooden base.
A sliding wooden and steel tray wraps around the curved body providing a flat surface that can be used for many purposes and slide along the length of the seat.
The simple combination of the two components makes the Obi a modern centerpiece that offers utilitarian uses with a clean and simple design that evokes Japanese traditional fashion and culinary elements with a modern style.
